The Heart Behind Glam on Wheels

Glam on Wheels brings practical skills closer to youth.

Glam on Wheels was created from a practical understanding of youth unemployment. Many young people do not lack ambition. They lack access to training, tools, confidence, and a pathway that connects skill to income.

Taking skills closer

By bringing beauty, grooming, and entrepreneurship training directly to communities, Glam on Wheels reduces the distance between young people and practical skills they can use. Makeup, hairdressing, barbering, and nail technology can become routes toward self-employment.

Skills and enterprise

The heart of the initiative is not simply training. It is the belief that a young person with a skill, confidence, and support can begin to build differently. Enterprise begins with being trusted to start.

Leadership lesson

Support is strongest when it is practical. It must be close enough to touch, simple enough to begin, and serious enough to sustain.

Through Glam on Wheels, Captain Irene's work shows that beauty can be economic, training can be useful, and support can travel to young people who are ready to build.

Keep following the work behind the reflection.
